Able to offer power, comfort, convenience and versatility all for a great price, an SUV is a popular option for many drivers. However, since there is a lot that goes into designing a new SUV in 2018, it can be difficult to find one that suits all of your needs. We wanted to take a look at two of the most popular SUVs available today to let you know some of the key differences between the 2018 Toyota RAV4 vs the 2018 Nissan Rogue.
While similar in performance, the new RAV4 is a more capable SUV for a lower price. Standard on each new Toyota RAV4 model is the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine. This engine is able to produce 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque, which is more powerful than Nissan’s Rogue model. With its impressive power, the new RAV4 is also able to offer drivers a standard towing capacity of 1,500 lbs, as well as a maximum of 3,500 lbs with the standard Tow Prep Package on Dynamic Control AWD models with the new Adventure trim level.
Speaking of the Adventure trim level, the all-new 2018 RAV4 Adventure first made its debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show and quickly became a fan-favorite. Along with some exclusive new exterior and interior features, the RAV4 Adventure comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P and Hill-Start Assist Control. This suite of safety features includes technologies such as the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Automatic High Beams. The new trim will also offer optional heated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, as well as a wiper de-icer with the available Cold Weather Package.
