2021 Toyota Camry: Which Trims have AWD?
Late into production, Toyota started including AWD on select 2020 Camry models. This was huge news! It was the first time the popular sedan had an AWD option since its discontinuation back in 1991. Now that the 2021 Camry is available, have the AWD options expanded?
Which 2021 Toyota Camry models have available AWD?
Drivetrains Sorted by Trim
The 2021 Toyota Camry is available with two separate drivetrains: FWD and AWD. Most trims have an AWD variant, but there are some exceptions.
- LE AWD – 25/34/29 mpg
- SE AWD – 25/34/29 mpg
- SE Nightshade AWD – 25/34/29 mpg
- XLE AWD – 25/34/28 mpg
- XSE AWD – 25/34/28 mpg
Any 2021 Camry trim with a V6 engine is only available in FWD. That means that the TRD, XLE V6, and XSE V6 trims are unavailable with AWD. Every 2021 Camry Hybrid model also comes exclusively in FWD.
Standard Safety Features
Every 2021 Toyota Camry comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite of driver assistive features. It includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane keep and tracing assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rearview camera. Other features are available at higher trim levels, including blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, a surround-view parking camera system, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a heads-up display.
