Toyota Named to Fortune Magazine’s 2019 World’s Most Admired List
There are so many companies in the world that help shape our daily lives for the better. For example, Toyota is just one of many auto manufacturers that provides vehicles which we use in our everyday lives. That’s why each year, Fortune Magazine compiles a list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” in the world and once again, Toyota was named to Fortune Magazine’s 2019 World’s Most Admired list.
Toyota has had a strong place on this list for a long time now, as Toyota has been ranked the No. 1 motor vehicle company on the list for the fifth consecutive year now. In fact, out of Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 “All-Star” companies, Toyota was ranked at No. 30 on the list.
Each year, Fortune Magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list surveys companies, executives, directors, analysts and more in nine different categories that are crucial to a company’s success. These include the quality of products and services, environmental responsibility, global competitiveness and more.
In order to get the list down to 50 companies, the Korn Ferry Hay Group asked more than 3,750 people from 680 various companies in 30 different countries to select the 10 companies each person admired most.
“Toyota is honored to be named as one of the most admired companies in the world, and as the most admired in the auto industry for the fifth year in a row. This recognition demonstrates the high quality of our global team, their dedication to serving our customers, and their commitment to providing mobility for all. I look forward to what our team can accomplish in the year ahead.”
-Jim Lentz, chief executive officer Toyota Motor North America
