2020 4Runner Cargo Space and Seating Capacity
One of the key qualities any good SUV is space. In particular, it should be able to house large amounts of cargo and people. Simply put, an SUV shouldn’t forego the “Utility” part of “Sport Utility Vehicle” for the sake of something else.
With that said, how well does the 2020 Toyota 4Runner hold up to this premise? Is it only popular because of its “Sport” ability, especially with its high ground clearance and TRD variants? Or is it able to perform its “Utility” function with the best of them? Let’s take a look.
How much can fit in the 2020 Toyota 4Runner?
High Seating Capacity
One of the things we like here at Apple Valley Toyota is choice. The 2020 4Runner has many choices, but one of our favorites is the ability to add a third row of seating. The standard seating is at two rows, but if you have need of extra seats, then you can easily expand the seating from five-person to seven-person. However, you aren’t stuck with three rows of seating if you don’t need them. Meaning you have more room for activities. Speaking of which…
Generous Cargo Space
The 2020 Runner has more than ample cargo space. For the five-seater, there’s 47.2 cu-ft of space behind the second row and 89.7 cu-ft when the rear seats are folded down. The seven-seater is a little more cramped: behind the third row there is 9 cu-ft; behind the second row there is 46.3 cu-ft; behind the first row there is 88.8 cu-ft of space. No matter which arrangement you choose, you’ll have the space you need.
