For fans of high-performance, off-road capable vehicles, they surely know about the Toyota TRD lineup of vehicles. Introduced back in 2014, the TRD lineup was born from Toyota’s impressive off-road racing heritage, designing a vehicle that is extremely capable no matter the terrain, along with remaining comfortable for daily driving needs. Showcased at the recent 2019 Chicago Auto Show, Toyota unveiled the new 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro. So, let’s take a look at some of the features and specs of the 2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro.
The new 2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro is available as a 7-seat model with middle-row captain-sized chairs and 60/40 split third-row seats that also recline. However, one of the first things people want to know about these extremely capable vehicles is their power. When it comes to the 2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro, the SUV comes equipped with a DOHC 5.7-liter i-FORCE V8 engine, capable of generating 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. The new Sequoia TRD Pro also has a towing capacity of 7,100 lbs and features a selectable Tow/Haul mode and Trailer Sway Control.
The 2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro also features TRD-tuned Fox shock absorber suspension, along with the standard Multi-Mode 4WD system, which uses a lockable TORSEN limited-slip center differential to help portion out torque to both the front and rear wheels.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Toyota vehicle without stand-out safety features. In fact, the 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense P suite of active safety technologies.
