Captain’s Chairs or Bench Seats?
The 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims come with second-row captain’s chairs. The base L and LE trims come standard with a second-row bench seat. The XLE and Limited trims can substitute in a second-row bench seat at no cost. The Platinum trim only comes with captain’s chairs. The Highlander models with second-row bench seats have a max seating capacity of eight. Highlander models with the captain’s chairs bring that capacity down to seven.
Comfort and Convenience Features
Every Highlander comes standard with tri-zone automatic climate control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The LE adds an adjustable power liftgate and a leather-trimmer steering wheel. The XLE, beside getting second-row captain’s chairs, includes a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad, a standard moonroof, SofTex synthetic leather upholstery, and heated front seats. The Limited trim gets first and second-row leather-trimmed seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a hands-free liftgate. Lastly, the Platinum trim adds second-row heated seats and a panoramic moonroof.
