Christmas 2017 Events and Activities in Martinsburg WV 

With Halloween behind us now and Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner, now is the busiest time of year when it comes to gifts, family time and fun activities. While the rush of the holidays seem to span November and December nowadays, we wanted to highlight a few of the fun upcoming Christmas 2017 events and activities in Martinsburg, WV.

Christmas wreath on white backgroundHometown Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade 

Kicking off the month of December in style is the hometown Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The tree will be lit at the Martinsburg town square on Friday, Dec. 1, around 6pm. After the lighting ceremony starts the Christmas season, the community will be able to enjoy the Christmas parade downtown starting at 5:45 pm. 

Doors to Christmas 

To help count down the days to Christmas is the Doors to Christmas event taking place from Dec. 6 on Main Street Martinsburg. This fun event will showcase 25 creatively designed Christmas wreaths on antique doors. The wreaths are decorated by local businesses and will be auctioned off. Hors d’oeurves, drinks and live music will all be present at the event.

Colonial Christmas 

A fun twist on the traditional Christmas celebration is the Colonial Christmas at the Adam Stephen House during the first two weekends in December. This holiday celebration will be Scottish themed and feature Scottish decorations, clothing, music and more.
